Set into the rugged hillside above Korthi Bay, two houses pair crisp white geometry with local stone, concrete and wood — quiet architecture shaped by the light, the mountain and the Aegean.
Designed to be lived in slowly, each house opens fully to the landscape, so the boundary between inside and out all but disappears across a long Andros summer.
The house is fully off grid — powered by solar panels, supplied by its own well water and served by biological waste treatment — a self-sufficient retreat that rests lightly on the land.
Where Stone Meets Light
The house emerges from the hillside as a natural extension of its surroundings. Each material—rough-hewn stone, poured concrete, whitewashed plaster—has been chosen for its honesty and its ability to age gracefully under the Mediterranean sun.

Every surface has been considered—soft neutral cushions against rough stone, natural wood accents warming the concrete, linen curtains filtering the Mediterranean light. The result is a space that feels both refined and deeply restful.

Shaded terraces extend the living space outward. Here, mornings begin with coffee and the slow climb of the sun. Afternoons drift by with a book, the breeze, the distant sound of waves.
As evening falls, the terrace becomes a place for gathering—simple meals, good wine, conversation that stretches into the purple hours of dusk.
Andros, Quietly Wild
The northernmost of the Cyclades, Andros remains refreshingly untouched. Its landscape is dramatic—rugged mountains plunging to hidden coves, ancient stone walls crossing green valleys, springs and waterfalls in unexpected places.
Korthi Bay, where the house sits, is a quiet corner of an already quiet island. The village below holds a handful of tavernas, a small harbor, and the unhurried pace of authentic Greek island life.
